Water Conservation and its Preservation
Water is a magical potion that gives life to every living
being on this planet. A human being cannot live for more than 3-4 days without
water. Though everybody knows that there has been water shortage in many countries,
people are still polluting and wasting it. All of us need to conserve water in
order to save it for our next generation. It is true that we cannot save water
for the entire world, but ‘Little drops make a mighty ocean!’-If every person
on Earth starts conserving and preserving water, there will be no shortage of
water in the world. It totally depends on you that how you want to conserve and
preserve water but some ways are: Use a bucket to bath instead of a shower, install
rain water harvesting system, close water tap while brushing or putting soap on
hands, do not throw water on the road unnecessarily and use the water left
after washing vegetables to water plants. Water pollution has also become a big
issue. A lot of garbage is thrown daily in the water bodies. The holy river
Ganga has become the 5th most polluted river of the world. If rivers
keep getting polluted, in just a few decades, no water will be left on Earth.
Some ways to reduce water pollution are: Do not build any factory near a water
resource because factories dispose harmful chemicals and these chemicals go
straight into the water resource, do not throw garbage in any water resource
and do not bath or wash animals and utensils in the rivers. If we all save just
1 litre of water daily, soon our mother Earth will have plenty of water and
there will be no water shortage. SAVE WATER, SAVE EARTH.
