Due to the pandemic there was a nation-wide lockdown.
Everyone was in their homes and nobody was allowed to go outside. However, the
lockdown gave us an opportunity to spend more time with our family. It gave us
a chance to improve our relationships with everyone. Earlier we used to barely
sit and talk with our family members. If there were four people in a room
everyone used to be obsessed with their work and phones and they didn’t have
time to talk or play something with each other. The people were not able to
take out even 30 minutes for themselves and their family members. But when the
government declared lockdown, everything was shut and nobody was allowed to go
outside. So everyone was stuck inside their houses and everyone started
spending time with each other as they realized the importance of family because
they were with each other for a long period of time. I also realized the
importance of my family and I spent a lot of time with my family members during
the lockdown. Before the lockdown, I had my school and homework so I was not
able to spend time with my family. But during the lockdown I had a lot of free
time and I spent as much time as I could with my family. I played many games
with my family like carom board. Earlier when I used to play carom board, I
used to lose every time but during the lockdown, some kind of magic came into
my hands I started winning every single time. My mother also encouraged me to
write and draw as I didn’t have time to pursue my hobbies and talents before
lockdown. My mother gave me some topics and I wrote paragraphs on them. She
also suggested me some drawings and I drew them. I also played cards with my
family and we enjoyed a lot. My father and grandmother told me some games they
used to play when they were little children. They also told me some stories
about their childhood. We also browsed some old photos of mine when I was 3 to
4 years old. We looked at those photos and laughed and remembered some old
memories. The lockdown played a major part in my life as it brought me closer
to my family.
